40 -year -old dispute between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra ended

A route on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra was closed for a long time. After 40 years, the matter has now been resolved. This road connects not from anywhere else but Loni village in Madhya Pradesh and Chorvad village of Raver tehsil of Jalgaon district of Maharashtra.

What is the whole matter

The farmers of both the states had blocked the way by planting crops on 4-4 feet of land. Due to which the road to one and a half kilometers was closed. On this, Burhanpur Collector took the matter seriously after a complaint of a farmer in Jansunwai on Tuesday. The matter was also taken into consideration by the Jalgaon Collector.

Burhanpur Tehsildar Praveen Oharia said that the village Loni is bound by Maharashtra. While the boundary of village Chorwad in Raver Tehsil of Maharashtra begins, there was a two -km route in the government records for the movement of farmers of both the states, but due to encroachment, farmers were having problems in carrying agricultural equipment and vehicles.

After this, on the instructions of Burhanpur Collector and Jalgaon Collector, Burhanpur Tehsildar Praveen Oharia and Rayer Tehsildar Bandu Kapse reached Loni village and discussed the matter with the farmers. The revenue team of both the states reached and took action to identify the encroachment found on the way, while imposing the fields on the basis of government records. Due to which about 50 farmers of both the states will be able to carry agricultural equipment including tractor trolley, trucks in the fields. The police force of both the states was also included so that there is no dispute. After which after mutual agreement, a farmer removed the banana crop from JCB from himself.

Farmer Sunil Mahajan said that due to encroachment on the government route, the crop was being planted. After which there was no disposal even after there were complaints. Due to lack of vehicles to the fields, it was forced to pay four times more wages by bringing out the produce through more laborers. Due to clearing the way, trucks, tractor trolley vehicles will easily reach the fields, which will benefit the farmers.
