Rural color, tourism with tourism in the main hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav today

In the main hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, “Rural Color, Tourism Sang” state level festival will be organized at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center from 11 am today to encourage self -employment and economic progress from rural tourism. The Minister of State (Independent Charge), Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust and Religion, Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi will be present in the festival. Standards and colleagues playing an important role in rural tourism will be encouraged in the program.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla underlined the importance of “rural tourism” and said that the rich culture, heritage, Teej-festivals, festival and delicious food experience of Madhya Pradesh are seen closest to the rural areas. In today’s time, tourists are getting attracted towards the natural beauty and rural environment of Madhya Pradesh in search of peace.

Principal Secretary Shri Shukla informed that for the convenience of tourists, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also do e-launching of the Responsible Tourism Mission website of the state. The best 6 homestays (3 rural, 3 urban), sarpanches of 16 tourism villages, 8 project colleagues and 10 district collectors will also be rewarded. On this occasion, the inauguration of 14 new homestays and kits will be distributed to homestay owners of 60 tourism villages.

An MoU will be signed between Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) and Divya Yoga Temple Trust (Patanjali) with the objective of promoting rural tourism, creating livelihood opportunities, empowering women and deprived classes and improving tourism infrastructure in homestare clusters and tourist villages. There will be an MoU between MPTB and signified Innovation India Limited for establishment in 61 tourist villages of energy efficient LED or solar moving street lights. In order to promote tourism, film production and skill development in the state, there will be an MoU between Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Scope Global Skills University to empower the rural homestand on digital platforms and add OTA platforms to the online travel agency and MoU between Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.

Principal Secretary Shri Shukla informed that participants and institutions from different districts of the state will demonstrate excellent products of Art and Craft in the festival like clayarts, mahanas, chitra, bamboo crafts, handblocks, gond paintings, handlooms and handicraft textiles etc. This one -day exhibition will be open for the public from 11 am to 2 pm.

The main objective of the “Rural Color, Tourism Sansa” festival is to encourage rural tourism centenary activities. Rural tourism project is being operated in a total of 100 villages of 37 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Out of these, work has been started in 63 villages and so far 294 homestay construction has been completed, out of which 241 homestays are being successfully operated. The program will be attended by stakeholders of tourism sector, representatives of project associate institutions, sarpanch of gram panchayats, home stay operators and women.
