New Delhi
Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, India has given a special gift to Maldives. This gift is to train ten soldiers of Maldives Police in VIP Security. After taking training in VIP security, all these 10 commandos will be deployed as the bodyguard of Maldives President Mohammad Mujju. In the last week of this month, PM Modi is going on a two-day (25-26 July) visit to Maldives.

All these ten commandos met Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General GP Singh in Delhi on Saturday (July 19, 2025) after completing two weeks of VIP training in Noida. There is a VIP Security Training Center of CRPF in Noida. The CRPF is handed over the security of the Y and Z category to the VIPs and other dignitaries of the country. Regional relations will be strong
After meeting the commandos of Maldives Police, CRPF DG GP Singh said that this training is a proof of our shared commitment to more cooperation in peace, professionalism and policing. According to CRPF, such cooperation with the police of neighboring countries will strengthen regional relations and will give strength to partnership.

The CRPF said in a brief statement that it is a proud step towards advancing mutual trust and capacity building in the region. The 25th of this month is the national day of Maldives. On the National Day of Maldives, Prime Minister Modi will join as the chief guest.

The sourness between the two countries will be less
The PM’s visit is expected to reduce the sourness between the two countries from becoming the President of Mujju, because after becoming the President of Maldives in the year 2023, Mujju expelled the cruelty including the Indian Navy helicopter from his country. Also, Muizu is considered close to China. However, last year, Muizu also visited Delhi and described India as an important ally.

According to the information, during PM Modi’s visit to Maldives, many important agreements are expected between the two countries. Also, India can make a big grant for the ferry (boat shipping) starting to connect different islands of Maldives.
