In the clean survey, the cleaning friends and councilors of Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation, who increase the value of the entire state in the country, will be honored by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This ceremony of honor is proposed in the Municipal Corporation premises on Wednesday (July 23). During the program, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate development projects worth more than Rs 2.5 crore, including the inauguration of Urban Flood Early Monitoring System under Urban Flood Management of Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind duly worshiped at the Baba Anandeshwar temple on Wednesday. He was accompanied by Mayor Pramila Pandey, MLA Surendra Maithani and regional councilor Nitin Bajpai. Former President Baba Anandeshwar arrived at around 9:30 pm. Jalabhishek, milking, makeup and aarti took blessings from Baba. Mahant Arun Bharti Maharaj and the associate priests performed the puja. He gave Dakshina to the priests. The former President expressed happiness over the grandeur of the temple complex and the temple. During this time extensive security arrangements were made for the temple in and around the temple. During this period, common devotees were stopped for some time from entry due to security reasons. The former President stayed in the temple for about half an hour.

The Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation has made a high jump over his outstanding performance in cleanliness. In the Clean Survekshan 2024-25, Safai Mitra has secured third place in the safe city category across the country. With this, Gorakhpur has got the fourth national rank in the category of population of 3 to 10 lakhs. Gorakhpur ranks first at the state level in this category. This achievement is also commendable because in the last year’s survey, Gorakhpur ranking was 24th at the nation level and seventh in the state. Last year, Gorakhpur was kept in the three star category of Garbage Free City, while this time the city has come into the five star certification of Garbage Free City.

The Chief Minister has already appreciated this achievement of Gorakhpur. Now he will honor the cleaning friends and councilors who contribute to the excellence of cleanliness at a ceremony and encourage them. Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, Mayor of Gorakhpur, says that the big achievement achieved by Gorakhpur in the clean survey is the result of the collective efforts of the cleaning friends, councilors, employees, officers as well as citizens under the motivational guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The most important thing is that CM Yogi makes the public aware of cleanliness in every public program.
Urban Flood Early Warning System will be inaugurated

During the program, CM Yogi will formally inaugurate the Urban Flood Early Warning System under Urban Flood Management by Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation. The cost of this project is Rs 28 crore 92 lakh. Under this, complete automation of all pumping stations of the city has been done. A total of 110 automatic water level recorders have been installed on primary and secondary drains. When the water level of the drains exceeds 80 percent, an automated alert is sent to the concerned authorities. Fuel deficiency and pump maintenance warnings are also sent to the authorities in time.

On the other hand, CM Yogi is on a tour of Gorakhpur today. He also performed Rudrabhishek at the Mansarovar temple. Meanwhile, the helicopters were also seen raining flowers on the devotees. CM Yogi will give the gift of development work of Rs 252 crore to Gorakhpur today. The beautification of the office of Urban Flood Management Cell continued till late night. Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava took stock of the preparations with Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sogarwal. The Chief Minister can also flag off the cleaning vehicles from Padleganj.

Will inaugurate barracks with capacity of 200 soldiers

In the 26th Corps PAC campus, a multi -storey barrack has been prepared with state -of -the -art facilities of 200 capacity for PAC jawans. It is expected to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 24 July. All are aware of the contribution of PAC (Provincial Armed Constable) in maintaining law and order. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has appreciated the important role in the law and order of PAC soldiers from many forums. To provide state -of -the -art facilities to PAC soldiers, the Yogi government is giving great emphasis on infrastructure. In this connection, an 11 -storey barrack tower has been built in the 26th Corps PAC. A cost of Rs 11 crore 67 lakh was approved to make it. Now this tower is ready.
