Commissioner Bastar Shri Doman Singh on Tuesday reviewed the summer camp organized in Kudakanar and Dharmoure schools of Bastar and Tokapal blocks of Bastar district and encouraged these children by closely observing the paintings, toys, rangoli etc. made by the children. On this occasion, children also told poetry, patriotic songs, story. During this time, the commissioner, while explaining to the school children to learn and understand according to the local environment, explained to the teachers that the summer camp is a golden opportunity for school children to learn something new and meaningful for school children during summer holidays. Keeping in mind the local surroundings and resources, especially in the summer camp, provide children an opportunity to know and understand the social, cultural and natural aspects around them. In this direction, children should be encouraged to know about their family’s lineage in this direction, mentioning the names of father, grandfather, great -grandfather and ask them to make dynasty. So that the curiosity of children increases and they can be motivated to know about Nanihal including their own family. These children should also be intended to know about the bullock carts, bicycles, agricultural instruments, domestic use materials, rural festivals and festivals etc., including the history, geographical location and characteristics of the village.
