Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat has instructed that departmental officers should inspect all the dams before the rain and improve the improvement work before the rain. All the dams should be maintained and kept in a functioning position.
Water Resources Minister Silavat held a review meeting of departmental works through video conferencing in the ministry. Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajaura, Chief Engineer Vinod Kumar Deora etc. were present in the meeting. Regional officials attended through video conferencing. The meeting reviewed the upcoming monsoon preparations and the water Ganga enrichment program run by the department.
The departmental plan and water conservation programs conducted by the Department and the water conservation programs conducted by the department were given by Chief Engineer Vinod Deora to protect the dams before the rainy season and to deal with possible disaster conditions. Water Resources Minister Silavat directed that a flood control room at the district level should be established 24 hours. The inspection team should be formed and regular monitoring and during the rainy season, no officer should leave the headquarters without the permission of the competent officer.
Water Resources Minister Silavat directed that during the rainy season, whenever the situation of release water from the dam, all the officers, public representatives and other important institutions of the district should be given advance information. In places where water is being released, information about release of water to the common people should be given compulsorily. He directed that according to the departmental manual, pre -rainfall reports should be recorded on the departmental portal and reports related to the dams of states identified under the Dam Safety Act implemented by the Government of India should also be recorded on the Government of India portal on time.
Minister Silavat directed that the water Ganga enrichment program run by the department should be implemented at a complete speed in the next 14 days and a detailed report should be presented 3 days after the end of the program. Silavat expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects under construction and directed to complete the maximum work before the rainfall.
