Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has said that “Education is the real capital of life. Life is incomplete without it. It is not only the medium of employment, but also the basis of overall development.” He was addressing the inauguration program of additional room constructed at the district library at Mungeli district headquarters in the morning in Mungeli district headquarters. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Saw, Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu, Mungeli MLA Mr. Punnulal Mohale and former MP Mr. Lakhan Sahu were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister appreciated educational innovations like ‘Prayas’ and ‘Nalanda campus’ and said that the government aims to establish modern libraries in every district. Appreciating the Mungeli district library, he said that this library has so far become the foundation of the success of hundreds of youth. He described it as a success center, not just the place of study. In the program, the Chief Minister honored the students who excelled in class 10th and 12th board examinations by giving mementoes and citation. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was presented with handmade photographs of his picture and Bhagavad Gita and other souvenirs to the Chief Minister.

It is worth noting that the district library currently has a collection of more than 4780 books, 893 registered members, 32 tables, 11 CCTV cameras. Chief Secretary of the state Shri Amitabh Jain, Chief Minister’s Secretary Mr. P. Dayanand and many senior administrative officers, teachers and large number of students were present in the program.
