Uttar Pradesh’s Noida STF exposed a fake embassy in Ghaziabad on 22 July. The police have arrested a person named Harsh Vardhan Jain. Harsh Vardhan is accused of cheating people by calling himself an ambassador of many countries. He also used to transact money through hawala.
According to the police, Harsh Vardhan was running a “West Arctic Embassy” in a rented house in Kavinagar. He used to describe himself as a consul or ambassador of countries like West Arctica, Saborga, Poulvia, Lodonia. He used to show his photoshop photos with the Prime Minister, President and other important people to lure people. Police say that the main task of Harsh Vardhan was to do brokerage in the name of getting companies and people work abroad. He was also running a hawala racket through shell companies. Investigations have revealed that Harsh Vardhan was also in contact with Chandraswami and Adnan Khagoshi (International Arms Dealer) earlier. In 2011, an illegal satellite phone was also recovered from him, for which a case was registered at Kavinagar police station.
So many documents recovered
The police have recovered several things from Harsh Vardhan. These include four vehicles installed diplomatic number plates, 12 diplomatic passports of microneration countries, fake documents of the Ministry of External Affairs, two fake PAN cards, 34 stamps of various countries and companies, 2 fake press cards, Rs 44,70000 cash and foreign currency of many countries. In addition, documents of several companies and 18 diplomatic number plates have also been recovered.
Investigation continues
The police have registered a case at Kavinagar police station and started further action. According to the police, advance statutory action is being taken by registering prosecution in Kavinagar Ghaziabad police station in relation to the above. This means that further legal action is being taken by registering an FIR in Kavinagar police station in this case. STF is now trying to find out who more people are involved in this fraud of Harsh Vardhan. The police is also investigating how many people they have cheated so far and how much money has been transacted through hawala.
