Gaze will fall on builder-bank alliance: CBI gets approval for action from Supreme Court

During the hearing of cases filed in the case of builder-bank alliance, the CBI told the Supreme Court that it is going to register 22 cases in Delhi-NCR. Many builders and bank officials may tighten the grip on corruption charges. The Supreme Court has given the green signal to the CBI. After receiving a sealed report of the CBI, the court said that this report is going to open eyes.

The Supreme Court had directed the CBI for a preliminary inquiry after filing the case. The petition filed in the court states that some real estate companies in collusion with banks give home buyers loans for their projects. These projects are never fulfilled, due to which the common man gets trapped by taking loans, because banks and builders together grab money. During the hearing, the Supreme Court expressed satisfaction over the CBI investigation and also gave time for further investigation.

And action can be taken against builders

Justice Suryakant and Justice N. The bench of Kotishwar Singh ordered that if there is any obstruction in the investigation, the CBI is allowed to come to court anytime. In order to harass home buyers and make money from them, more builders can come under the purview of CBI in case of connivance with banks. The Central Agency told the Supreme Court that it is planning to register 22 cases against various builders in Delhi-NCR. Apart from this, he has also sought more time to examine the builders of other cities.

Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati, while advocating the CBI, told the bench that it would take more time to take the investigation to the conclusion. He informed the court that the CBI has so far investigated more than 58 properties and has questioned more than one thousand witnesses. The CBI has submitted a sealed report of the entire case to the court. Expressing satisfaction over the CBI investigation, the bench has given 6 weeks to complete the investigation.
