Kavad Yatra: UP-Uttarakhand government’s order for QR code will continue, case still pending in SC

Lucknow / Dehradun

The Supreme Court has given a big verdict regarding the Kavad Yatra. The court says that the decision to impose QR code in shops located on the Kanwar Yatra route has been declared correct. This order was given by the Yogi Adityanath government, which was challenged in the Supreme Court by many people, including Professor Apoorvanand. On this, the court says that shopkeepers should impose QR code and their license. There is nothing wrong in this. In this way the order issued by the UP government will continue. However, this decision will no longer have any significant impact. The reason for this is that the Kavad Yatra is to end with Mahashivaratri on Wednesday.

Nevertheless, this decision of the court may apply for the coming years. The Yogi government also issued an order last year, stating that shopkeepers would have to write their names on the board. The court was also stalked about this and then the Supreme Court declared that decision wrong. However, even then the decision came to an end by the Kandar Yatra. Nevertheless, the court order is a vision for the future in such cases.

The Supreme Court said in the order, ‘We have been told that today is the last day of the journey. However, it is likely to end in the near future. Therefore, at this time we will only pass the order that all concerned hotel owners follow the order to display license and registration certificate according to statutory requirements. We clarify that we are not considering other disputed issues. The application is terminated.
