Mata Chintpurni’s Shravan Ashtami Fair from 25 July to 3 August: Mahasangam of faith ready

The Shravan Ashtami fair will be organized from 25 July to 3 August at the famous Shaktipeeth Mata Sri Chintpurni Temple in North India. SDM Amb Sachin Sharma took a meeting of the officials concerned in Midas Sadan Chintpurni on Friday and gave necessary guidelines regarding the successful organization of the fair. He informed that during the Shravan Ashtami Fair, ADC Una Mela Officer, SDM Amb Assistant Fair Officer while ASP Una has been appointed as Police Fair Officer and DSP Amb has been appointed as Assistant Police Mela Officer.
Sachin Sharma said that during the fair, the temple of Mata Shri Chintpurni will be open round the clock for devotees. The temple will be closed for only one hour during the night for cleanliness. In the afternoon, the temple will also be closed for some time for mother’s makeup and enjoyment etc.
Anchor will have to be allowed
SDM said that it will be mandatory to get permission to launch anchor during the Shravan Ashtami fair. The organizer will also have to ensure cleanliness after the end of the anchor. Apart from this, DFSC Una will inspect regularly about the quality of food items during the fair.

Action will be taken to disregard the rules
The SDM said that there will be complete restrictions on playing drums, tongs, loudspeakers etc. and the use of plastic and thermocol during the fair. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on coming to Mata Sri Chintpurni temple through freight vehicles. He said that action will be taken against those who violate the rules as per rules.
Areas will be divided into ten sectors
The fair area will be divided into ten sectors to maintain law and order during the fair. In view of security, adequate quantity of police and home guard personnel will be deployed with quick work force. All sectors will be monitored from the control room.

All arrangements for the convenience of devotees
SDM Sachin Sharma informed that temporary toilets will be built at various places to maintain cleanliness during the fair and a recovery van will be deployed to deal with the problem of traffic. There will also be a complete ban on begging and regular inspection will be done by the teams of District Child Protection Officer. Allopathic and Ayurvedic camps will be set up at various places to provide medical facilities to the devotees at the fair. Fire vehicles will be deployed to deal with the incident of any disaster or fire etc. Also, proper drinking water facilities will be provided to the devotees during the fair period. He also instructed the officials of the Public Works Department to repair the system of roads before the fair started.

The SDM instructed private inn managers to ensure fire fighting equipment in the inn. He said that the administration will also get them investigated. He asked the Electricity Department to ensure the necessary maintenance of electrical lines to keep the power supply smooth during the fair period so that there is no inconvenience during the fair. Apart from this, instructions were also given to ensure that additional street lights are also installed during the fair. He informed that during the fair, drinking water will also be installed for drinking water. He instructed the Department of Water Power to ensure how to provide water storage tanks to provide clean drinking water to the devotees.

ASP Una Sanjeev Bhatia, CMO Dr. Sanjeev Verma, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Chhaproh Shashi Kalia, Pradhan Nari Panchayat Alka, Gangot head Aishwarya, Principal Pratibha of Duhal Ghorawal and head Sangeeta Wala of Appar Lohara were present in the meeting.
