More than 2300 students from 18 Atal residential schools of Uttar Pradesh will appear in the class 10 board examination for the first time this year. This historical occasion was the center of a special preparation meeting held at Bapu Bhawan in Lucknow on Thursday. Atal Residential School Scheme is part of the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, under which modern residential schools were constructed in 18 revenue divisions of the state at a cost of Rs 1267.45 crore. These schools are being operated by Uttar Pradesh Bhawan and other construction workers welfare boards, so that children of labor families can get free, quality and education based on CBSE pattern.

Yogi government’s resolve, quality education for children of working class
The meeting was chaired by Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar, in which all principals, senior officials and education experts participated. Minister Anil Rajbhar said, “These school are bringing new light of education in the lives of children of the working class. The Yogi government wants their first board exam results to be an example for not only the state but the whole country.”

Meerut tops in mock test
In the Mock Test-2 held in July, Atal Vidyalaya in Meerut topped the percentage with 98% pass percentage. Principal Amar Kaur said that preparations for students have been strengthened from additional remedial classes and Peer Learning Group.
