New registration fees for old vehicles
The ministry of road transport and highways has introduced a hike in registration renewal feet for vehicles that are 20 years old or more. This Initiative Aims to Reduce Pollution Levels by encouraging vehus to upgrade their older models. As a result, mainTaining older vehicles will now incur higher costs, prompting owners to eite pay the increase fees or consider purchasing newer vehicles. However, there will be no changes in renewal feet for cars and bikes that are betteren 15 and 20 years old. Additionally, Ownes of Vehicles Manufactured Before 2005 that do not complete with BSII Emission Standards are being Urged to upgrade.

The revised Fees for Registering Older Vehicles will now be uniformly doubled. For installation, the registration fee for domestically manufactured cars has ₹ 5,000 to ₹ 10,000, While For Bikes and Scooters, it has increased from ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 2,000. Imported Vehicles Have Seen Even Steeper Increases, with the registration fee for 20-year-old cars jumping from ₹ 40,000 to ₹ 80,000, and for Imported TWO-WHEELERS, The Feer Range from 10,000 Top ₹ 20,000.
The updated policy also affects three-wheeles, with Fees Increasing from ₹ 2,500 to ₹ 5,000, and for Other Vehicles, Including Commercial types, the fEE has gone up from 6,000 to ₹ 6,000 to ₹ 6,000 to ₹ 12,000.
