Pakistan reached the Indus Water Treaty with UN, Ishaq Dar cried in front of Philamon

Preparations are being made by Pakistan to raise the issue of the Indus Water Treaty dispute in the United Nations. Pakistan Deputy PM and External Affairs Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has met the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Philamon Yang on the issue. Dar on Monday met Yang in New York and raised the issue related to the Indus Water Treaty (IWT). He said that India’s decisions like the Indus Water Treaty of India are threatened to regional peace.

Dar told Yang that the treaty is being violated by India. In such a situation, the institutions of the United Nations and the world should pay attention to this and India should be pressurized. According to Pak media, Ishaq Dar put India especially the center of discussion in his meeting with Philamon Yang. Dar described Yang about India’s aggressive stance, Operation Sindoor and the Sindhu Water Treaty of Pakistan.

Pakistan is the president of United Nations Security Council
Pakistan is currently the chairman of the United Nations Security Council. He has got this post on the basis of rotation. In such a situation, its effort is to take advantage of the anti -India stance. Pakistan wants Kashmir and Indus Water Treaty be raised on the United Nations stage. Pakistan’s efforts for this continue.
Ishaq Dar also raised the issue of Kashmir once again in front of the United Nations General Assembly Speaker. Reiterating Pakistan’s old rhetoric, he said that human rights are being violated continuously from India in Kashmir.

The solution should be done in peace
Ishaq Dar emphasized the peaceful solution of all disputes between Pakistan and India through international law, United Nations Security Council resolutions and UN Charter.

The recent tension between India and Pakistan began after 22 April. On 22 April, 26 people were brutally murdered by terrorists in Pahalgam. After this incident, India decided to break relations with Pakistan at many levels.

India has also decided to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. This treaty distributes water of rivers in Indo-Pak. India has said to stop the water going towards Pakistan, moving away from this agreement. This has increased concern in Pakistan.
