On Sunday, the Earth trembled five times within just an hour in the far Eastern region of Russia. The intensity of these earthquakes was between 6.6 and 7.4. The biggest shock was 7.4 intensity, after which a tsunami alert has been issued for the coastal areas of the US and Russia. People have been advised to go to high altitude areas. The center of all earthquakes was in the east of the Petropavalovsk-Kampachatski city and their depth was only 10 kilometers, which made the impact of the tremors significantly more on the ground. The US Geological Survey Department (USGS) reported that dangerous waves are expected to arise in the sea after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake. According to the alert, tsunami waves may come from the center of the earthquake within a radius of 300 km. The coastal areas of Hawaii and Russia have been asked to be vigilant.

The five major earthquake shocks were felt in the eastern part of the city of Petropavalovsk-Kampattski. The first blow was of 6.6 intensity, which came 147 km east of the city. Soon after this, a second blow of 6.7 magnitude was recorded in 151 km east. The third and most powerful earthquake was of 7.4 magnitude, which was 144 km east. The fourth shock was 130 km east of 6.7 magnitude, while the last i.e. fifth blow was recorded at 142 km east of 7.0 magnitude. The depth of all earthquakes was about 10 kilometers.
