A ‘Fact Finding Team’ of BJP has reached Kolkata this afternoon in the case of rape of a student at a law college in Kolkata.
The state’s second opposition party Congress is accusing the state government in this matter. At the same time, the party has described this step of BJP as inspired by politics.
Congress leader Shama Mohammad has said in a conversation with news agency ANI that BJP has no right to speak on this matter.
He said, there is no right to send the fact-sharing team to the BJP. Recently, rape incidents were reported in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, and there was also a rape incident inside a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra. So where did the fact-sharing teams go in these cases?
Please tell that this team of BJP includes Satyapal Singh, Meenakshi Lekhi, Biplab Kumar Deb and Manan Kumar Mishra.
On the other hand, BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi, who reached Kolkata, has said that her team is not officially in touch with the West Bengal government.
In a conversation with ANI, he said, “I request the government without biased that this is a public issue, which we can also help in resolving.” You (West Bengal Government) talk to us once, listen and meet so that if we can cooperate, we would like to do it… officially we have no contact with them (West Bengal Government).
