Why strictly?
In the last few years, complaints have been received about violent incidents in many places during the Kandar Yatra, the roads on the road and harassing the common people. Many kanwadis turn the religious journey into power demonstration – sharp DJs, quarrels, motorcycles racing and uproar on the road have become common. That is why now the police has decided to take strict action against those who break the rules.
What did ADG Meerut say?
ADG (Meerut Zone) Bhanu Bhaskar said that no Kanwariya will run with symbolic weapons like Trishul, Danda or Hockey Stick. If someone breaks the rule, strict action will be taken by registering an FIR.
