Meerut
This time the UP Police has decided to show strictness regarding the Kavad Yatra, which takes place in the month of Sawan. In order to maintain peace and order in the yatra, many restrictions have been imposed on Kawandis, especially in Meerut Zone and other districts.
Ban on these things completely:
– Trishul, stick, hockey stick or any weapon
– Bike without silencer
– Playing DJs in loud voice and making hurdles
Where will these rules apply?
These rules will be applicable especially in the districts where a large number of kanwadis come, such as:
– Meerut
– Muzaffarnagar
– Shamli
– Saharanpur
– Bulandshahr
– Hapur
– Baghpat
Why strictly?
In the last few years, complaints have been received about violent incidents in many places during the Kandar Yatra, the roads on the road and harassing the common people. Many kanwadis turn the religious journey into power demonstration – sharp DJs, quarrels, motorcycles racing and uproar on the road have become common. That is why now the police has decided to take strict action against those who break the rules.
What did ADG Meerut say?
ADG (Meerut Zone) Bhanu Bhaskar said that no Kanwariya will run with symbolic weapons like Trishul, Danda or Hockey Stick. If someone breaks the rule, strict action will be taken by registering an FIR.
Ban on a silencer bike
In the previous years, it has been seen that some kanwadis carry a loud voice without a silencer, which causes noise pollution and trouble to the people. Now the vehicle will also be seized if such vehicles are invoiced and needed.
Special security arrangements
– Drone monitoring on travel route
– CCTV camera in every sensitive place
– PAC and RAF team posted
– Vigilant monitoring of administration and police in every district
Administration appeal
The administration has appealed to all the Shiva devotees and the Kanwar Yatra organizers that
– Travel peacefully
– Follow the rules
– Avoid breaking any kind of dispute or law
– Cooperate with administration
