Supreme Court’s Ruling on Teacher Appointments

The Supreme Court has rejected the west Bengal Government’s Petition, which sought a review of its decision made on April 3 to Annul the Appointments of 25,753 Teachers and Educational StaffFfe.

A Bench Comprising Justices Sanjay Kumar and Satish Chandra Sharma Stated that All Legal and Factual Aspects of the Case Had Alredy Been Thoroughly Examined, rendering the petitions with merit.

The court also denied the request for a hearing in an open court.

It highlighted serial flaws in the selection process, citing the absence of original or mirror copies of omr sheets and attempts to conceal irregularities as significant Integrity of the selection.

To maintain the integrity of the selection process, the court demed it negaary to invalidate the entreage procedure. However, candidates not implicated in any irregularities will have the opportunity to return to their previous departments.
