Technical fault in Air India Express flight going from Hyderabad to Thailand, returned immediately after flight

A flight from the Air India Express, which left for Phuket in Thailand from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday morning, returned shortly after flying for technical reasons. Flight number IX110 left Hyderabad at 6:40 am, which was about 20 minutes delayed by its scheduled time. The aircraft was about to land at Phuket at 11:45 am, but returned to Hyderabad shortly after flying. According to Flietrdar 24 data, the aircraft flew, but could not go far and made a safe landing in Hyderabad. However, till this time there has been no official statement from the airline or airport officials as to why the aircraft was returned. It was a Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.

Significantly, this incident has happened at a time when many incidents related to flights in India have come to light in recent times. Indigo, going from Delhi to Imphal on Thursday this week, had to return soon after flying due to technical fault in flight 6E-5118. After flying at 10:25 am, the aircraft returned to Delhi at 11:16 am. After technical investigation, the aircraft left again at 12:30 pm and reached Imphal at 2:53 pm, which was very delayed from 1:10 pm.

A spokesman for IndiGo said, “A minor technical disturbance came out shortly after the flight in flight 6E-5118 going from Delhi to Imphal. The pilots decided to return the aircraft by taking vigilance and the aircraft was rescued. After investigation, the aircraft flew again. The passengers are sorry for the inconvenience.”

Apart from this, another IndiGo from Delhi to Goa also revealed the engine failure in 6E-6271, after which the aircraft was diverted to Mumbai and safe landing was made there. Earlier on June 19, an Indigo flight going from Delhi to Leh had to return to Delhi due to technical fault after about two hours after flying.

On May 6, Aeroflot’s flight SU273, going from Bangkok to Moscow, had to make an emergency landing at Delhi Airport, when the cabin of the aircraft felt smoke -like smell. In April too, a flight coming from Jeddah to Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Delhi due to the possibility of suspected tire puncture. At that time there were 404 passengers in the aircraft, and they were safely taken off.
