Now the US intelligence report claims that India considers China its major strategic rival, while Pakistan sees it as a security problem that needs to be controlled.
Regional tension is feared to be maintained
China constantly wants to increase its influence in Asia by investing economic and military in other neighboring countries including Pakistan. It was informed in the US report that in the coming year, Pakistan’s army’s top priorities will include cross -border clashes with regional neighbors. Border tension with India, terrorism -related activities and aggressive rhetoric about Kashmir are part of this policy. India has already expressed concern over international forums over the ceasefire violations over the Line of Line of Terrorism and Control (LOC) on several occasions.

India’s focus on increasing participation
India is giving priority to bilateral defense partnerships in the Indian Ocean region to balance the influence of China and strengthen the global leadership role, including military exercises, training, arms sales and exchange of information. India has also increased trilateral participation in the Indo-Pacific sector. It is also playing an active role in multilateral forums like ‘Quad’, BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and ASEAN. In late October 2024, India and China arrived at an agreement to remove the army from two places on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in East Ladakh. With this return, the long -standing dispute over the border was not resolved, but after the 2020 incident, some tension was reduced when soldiers of both sides were killed in a clash on LAC.
Power of Make in India
